FAQs

Folk Ed is an online learning management system created to prepare, inform, and empower our community.

Folk Ed replaces a number of in-person training sessions that volunteers were previously required to attend.

We hope you find this opportunity to be enjoyable, accessible, and educational!

Each learner is assigned courses based on their current roles and responsibilities. Your course assignments may not be identical to other friends and colleagues.

If you think your course list is missing a course that applies to you, or if you would like to find out more about the courses offered through Folk Ed, please contact us.

Each learner is assigned courses based on their current roles and responsibilities. Your course assignments may not be identical to other friends and colleagues.

When you click on a course and view the title page, you will see a sidebar to the left indicating the intended “Audience” for that particular course. Some courses are designated “All Audiences,” which means the course includes foundational knowledge applicable to all volunteers.

Some courses are marked completed when you have viewed all the lessons in that course. In this case, open the course and make sure each lesson has a green checkmark beside it. Revisit any lessons that are not showing the green checkmark.

Other courses are marked completed when you achieve a certain score on a quiz within the course. In this case, open the course and re-take the quiz to make sure you have met the score criteria.
